About Us

Welcome to the Old Whitgiftians Cricket Club!

Established in 1878, the Old Whitgiftians Cricket Club is an integral part of the Whitgift Sports Club. While our roots trace back to Whitgift School, we have long embraced players from diverse backgrounds, welcoming talented cricketers from all walks of life.

We pride ourselves on fielding competitive teams, with four Saturday sides competing in the Surrey Championship and two Sunday teams. One Sunday side participates in the Trust/Development leagues, while the other plays friendly matches, ensuring there is a level of cricket suitable for everyone.

Our home ground, located at Croham Manor Road, South Croydon, Surrey, CR2 7BG, England, offers a picturesque setting for cricket enthusiasts. You can reach us by phone at 020 8686 2127 (+44 20 8686 2127).

To help you find us, we have provided directions for you.

For those traveling by train, the nearest station is South Croydon. From there, exit down the steps to the left of the station and walk along Croham Road, away from the shops, for approximately 5-10 minutes. The club will be on your right-hand side.

If you prefer to use local bus routes, both the 64 and T33 buses pass by our ground, serving East Croydon Station. When traveling away from Croydon (64 towards New Addington, T33 towards Addington Village), alight at St Paul’s United Reformed Church, located just across the road from the ground. When traveling towards Croydon (64 towards Thornton Heath, T33 towards West Croydon), alight at Campden Road, then turn left and take the first road on the right.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Old Whitgiftians Cricket Club and sharing the joy of cricket in a spirited and inclusive environment.
